NEW DELHI : Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will tender his resignation to President Pranab Mukherjee tomorrow afternoon after holding his last Cabinet meeting earlier in the morning.
At the meeting, his Cabinet colleagues will tender their resignations to the Prime Minister who will then go to the Rashtrapati Bhavan and hand over the papers to the President, sources said here today.
The sources said instructions had already been issued to welcome Narendra Modi at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). The first task of the new government will be the President’s address to the joint sitting of Parliament which will reflect the BJP’s manifesto, the sources added. (AGENCIES)
