JAMMU, Mar 7: MLA Chenani Balwant Singh Mankotia today held a public darbar at Latti Bandhol in Udhampur district where he listened to the grievances and developmental issues raised by local residents in the presence of officers from various Government departments.
A statement said a large number of people from Latti, Bandhol and nearby areas attended the darbar and highlighted issues related to road connectivity, water supply, electricity and other basic facilities.
The BJP MLA heard the problems patiently and directed the concerned officers on the spot to take necessary steps for resolving genuine issues in a time-bound manner.
Officers from several departments including PWD, Jal Shakti, Rural Development, Health, Education, PMGSY, Horticulture, Agriculture, CAPD, Social Welfare, Police and the Power Department were present during the programme and assured the public that the matters raised would be looked into and addressed at the earliest.
Speaking on the occasion, Mankotia reiterated his commitment to the overall development of the Chenani constituency and said that the administration must remain accessible to the people and responsive to their needs.
Local residents appreciated the initiative and thanked the MLA for visiting the area and listening to their grievances.
