SAMBA, Aug 30: Apni Party leaders led by their provincial president, Jammu, Manjit Singh here today toured flood hit areas of Purmandal Block which were almost disconnected from the rest of the Samba and Jammu districts for the last about a week.
During visit to Katwalta (Mandal) Panchayat and Anandpur (Utterbehani) Panchayat, Manjit Singh met a number of flash flood affected people.
He said that it was tragic to know that five villages Queli, Karnala, Balade, Gheri and Gujjar Basti were completely cut-off from rest of the district due to landslides that had blocked roads for the last seven to eight days.
After listening to the problems of the tragedy struck people, Manjit Singh demanded adequate compensation and relief for the flood hit peoples.
