Manjit demands 27 pc reservation for OBC people

JAMMU, Aug 23: Apni Party provincial president Jammu, Manjit Singh has appealed to the government to give 27 per cent job reservation and political reservation to the OBC people of J&K.
Singh while addressing at a programme organized by the OBC State Coordinator, Madan Lal Chalotra, appreciated contributions of OBC people despite all odds and no support from the government with regard to up-gradation of their living standards.
“OBC people are poor and living across J&K in the border belt. Large number of the young population among OBCs is unemployed and they must be provided their due rights by ensuring their all round development,” he said flaying BJP for ignoring OBC people and using them as vote bank.
Speaking on the occasion, Madan Lal Chalotra raised developmental and political issues of the OBC people in J&K.
