RAMBAN, Mar 15: Banihal Police arrested a man, who was wanted in NDPS case and was evading his arrest since long.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Banihal Police Station conducted raid in Dyala Chak area of district Kathua and arrested a man, who was wanted in NDPS case and was at large since long.
The accused has been identified as Firdoos Ahmed alias Jiya, son of Ghulam Qadir of Tantrypura Doligam tehsil Banihal.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 110 /2020 under Section 8/20/29 NDPS Act with Police Station Banihal.
Arrest warrant under Section 299 CrPC also stands issued against the accused by Session Court Ramban.
The accused was produced before the Session Court Ramban and has been sent to judicial custody.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Banihal Inspector Nayeem-ul-Haq Mattoo made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Banihal Ashish Gupta, Additional SP Ramban Rajni Sharma and SSP Ramban Hasseb -ur-Rehman.
