JAMMU, Apr 13: Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested a murder accused from the Bagh-e-Bahu area of Jammu and handed him over to the Punjab Police.
A police official said the accused Gurbachan Singh of Kanech, Ludhiana, was found involved in a murder case reported in Ludhiana.
During questioning, he said, Gurbachan Singh revealed that he, along with four to five others, had murdered one Kuldeep Singh, a resident of Sadar, Ludhiana, on June 26, 2025 at Jata Chowki, New Bypass, Ludhiana.
He said after confirming the accused’s involvement, Police Station Sadar, Ludhiana, was contacted and accordingly the Punjab Police confirmed his involvement in case FIR number 157/2025 under sections 103 and 191 of the BNS.
“The accused was then handed over to a team from Sadar Police Station Ludhiana for further investigation,” he said.
