RAMBAN, Apr 12: A man allegedly fell into Bislari Nullah near Magarkote Bridge in Ramsu here today triggering a large-scale search and rescue operation but could not be traced till last reports. Identified as Tanveer Ahmed, son of Abdul Salam, resident of Pogal area in Ukhral tehsil of Ramban, he was last seen this afternoon moving towards the Nullah. SSP Ramban, Arun Gupta stated that the incident was under investigation and CCTV footage from the area has been secured and is being analyzed. He also informed that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted to probe the case and the SIT will be headed by SDPO Banihal. Sources informed that Tanveer Ahmed was a driver of mini-load carrier vehicle. The search operation to trace him was stopped as it grew dark. DC Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, along with SSP Arun Gupta have appealed to the locals to avoid rumours.
