RAJOURI, Mar 25: A tragic incident occurred in the DKG area of Rajouri district where a man reportedly slipped and lost his life while on his way to Kashmir.
The deceased has been identified as Mohd Munshi, son of Mohd Younis, a resident of Palma, Nagrota in Rajouri.
Soon after the incident, a joint team of the Indian Army, Police, and local residents launched a rescue operation and successfully evacuated the body from the difficult terrain. The injured was immediately shifted to Sub-District Hospital Thannamandi, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Later, the body was later shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri for postmortem and completion of legal formalities. Police have taken cognizance of the incident.
