JAMMU, Sept 3: A man was killed this afternoon after being run over by a train here between 94.3 and 94.4 km near Channi Fatak.
According to SHO police station GRP Jammu, Neeraj Choudhary, a man identified as Tejinder Singh (52) son of Balbir Singh, a resident of Kanak Mandi (Jammu) died after being run over by a goods train at about 2 pm near Channi Fatak.
The officer said that the body of the deceased was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where after conducting postmortem and completing other legal formalities, it was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
