UDHAMPUR, June 20: A man was beaten to death by an assailant during a marriage function at village Kulwanta in Ramnagar Tehsil, last night.
The deceased, identified as Rumalo of village Chatrrai, was severely beaten up by the accused Kuldeep Kumar, son of Charan Dass of village Rasli Garden, tehsil Basantgarh over some petty issue.
The victim, who had received fatal internal injuries by the accused, died soon after reaching at home around 11.30 pm, last night.
Acting on a complaint by son of the deceased, who was accompanying him during the incident, Police registered a murder case in this connection and arrested the accused within few hours.
Police team led by SHO Ramnagar Sanjay Raina made the arrest under the supervision of SSP Udhampur Mohd Rayees Bhat.
