JAMMU, Jan 5: A 45-year-old individual was killed in a road accident at Gol Pattan area falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Kanachak here today.
Shiv Shankar son of Girja Ram of Uttar Pradesh at present Gol Pattan, Gajansoo, was admitted to the Government Medical College this evening after he was hit by a dumper outside his current accommodation, a police official said.
He succumbed to his injuries later in the hospital, he said.
While the body of the deceased individual has been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting the post-mortem examination, police have registered a case under the relevant sections of the law at Police Station Kanachak and started further investigation into the matter.
