Man injured in assault at Bari Brahmana

SAMBA, Mar 4: A 36-year-old man sustained injuries when he, along with two others persons, was assaulted by a group of 4-5 people over a rash driving related dispute in Bari Brahmana area here on Monday evening.
Yesterday, while three persons were coming from a temple in Village Nihalki, a car coming from the back side tried to hit them at Bari Brahmana area, a police official said.
When confronted, a group of 4-5 people travelling in the car stopped their vehicle on the road and attacked three persons with lathis, resulting in severe injuries to one of them, identified as Ravi Kumar (approximately 36) son of Chanu Ram of Nihalki, Bari Brahmana, he said.
Accordingly, the injured person was shifted to Government Medical College Jammu for treatment, the police official said.
Police have registered a case under the relevant sections of the law and started further investigation into the matter.
