RAMBAN, Dec 2: A man was injured, when the van he was driving was hit by a truck coming from opposite direction at Chakwa area, falling under the jurisdiction of Batote Police Station.
As per police sources, a truck bearing registration number JK02AE-8292 way on its from Jammu towards Doda hit a van bearing registration number JK02BN-7366 coming from opposite direction, resulting into injuries to the van driver.
The injured was rushed to CHC Batote, from where he was later referred to GMCH Jammu for advanced treatment.
The injured has been identified as Jasveer Singh (52), son of Pawan Singh, a resident of Talib Tillo Jammu.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Batote Police Station and hunt has been launched to arrest the truck driver, who fled away from the spot.
