POONCH, June 22: A 46-year-old person was today seriously injured, face was badly damaged when a bear attacked him at Dharan Wali Sib, hemlet in Loran area of Tehsil Mandi.
Locals said that he was grazing goats when three bears suddenly appeared and one of them attacked and left him seriously injured. The wild beast badly damaged his face. Injured was taken to PHC Loran from where he was shifted to District Hospital Poonch after basic treatment.
Medical Superintendent District Hospital Poonch, Dr Shafiq said that he was having serious facial injuries and needs an advance treatment. After doing medical treatment here, the injured was further referred to Government Medical College Jammu. The family members preferred to take him SKIMS Soura, Srinagar.
