SAMBA, July 10: An elderly man lost his life here today after a speedy car hit him when he was crossing the old Samba-Kathua road.
Immediately after the accident, the man was brought to District Hospital Samba in injured condition where the doctor declared him as dead on arrival.
The deceased was identified as Bhadur Ram, 65, son of Punnu Ram, resident of Rakh Kangwala, Samba.
After post-mortem, body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites.
The erring vehicle was seized while the Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
