JAMMU, Dec 11: A 50-year-old individual died after he was hit by a two-wheeler at Panama Chowk area here, officials said.
SICOP employee Ashok Kumar son of Paras Ram of Ramnagar, Udhampur, was taken to Government Medical College Jammu after he was hit by a scooty at Panama Chowk area on December 9, they said.
He succumbed to the injuries at the hospital today, officials said.
While the body of the deceased has been handed over to his legal heirs after completion of the medico-legal formalities, a case FIR number 341/2025 under sections 281, 125, and 106 BNS has already been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort, with further investigation set into motion, they said.
