JAMMU, Feb 23: Police today claimed to have arrested one person from Pallanwala area here and recovered over 3,000 intoxicating capsules from his possession.
A police official said during routine patrolling duty, a team of Police Post Pallanwala intercepted a suspicious person.
During checking, he said, the police team recovered two strips of Pregabalin capsules IP 300 mg (Prega-300) containing 19 capsules and 3,032 green-coloured intoxicating capsules, which were found loose and without original packing.
Accordingly, the accused, identified as Munish Kumar Sharma of Kallah in Tehsil Kharah Balli, Jammu, was arrested and booked in case FIR number 15/2026 under sections 8, 21, 22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Khour and further investigation taken up to ascertain the sources and intended distribution of the seized contraband, the police official said.
