JAMMU, June 23: Manwal police arrested a bootlegger along with large quantity of illicit liquor pouches from Kishanpur area.
As per police sources, a team from Manwal police post laid a naka and intercepted a pedestrian on suspicious grounds at Kishanpur.
During checking, police recovered 50 pouches of illicit liquor and arrested the person, who has been identified as Ashok Kumar, son of Bodh Raj of Jindrah, Manwal.
A case under FIR Number 66/15 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Jhajjar Kotli police station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge police post Manwal Tribhawan Khajuria made the arrest under the supervision of SHO police station Jhajjar Kotli SI Hilal Azhar, SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bhushan Sharma and Incharge SSP Jammu Rajiv Pandey.
