JAMMU, Dec 20: One individual was arrested with a country-made pistol and live ammunition from Sainik Colony area here, officials said.
Rahil Bhagat of Bhagwati Nagar was arrested with a country-made pistol (desi katta) and three live rounds during routine checking at Sector S area of Sainik Colony on Friday evening, a police official said.
He was accordingly booked in case FIR number 231/2025 under section 3/25 of the Arms Act registered at Police Station Channi Himmat, he said.
The police official said the matter is being investigated further to ascertain the backward and forward linkages of the accused individual.
