RAJOURI, Dec 23: The police arrested one person from Rajouri town and recovered about 1700 tablets of toxic nature from his possession today.
Official sources said that a police team from PS Rajouri led by Insp Abid Hussain Shah, during checking near Gujjar Mandi intercepted a youth. He was identified Tabraiz Ahmed, son of Mohd Javid, a resident of Shahdra Sharief in Thannamandi. He is presently residing at Kheora.
During search, a substantial quantity of illegal drugs were recovered from his possession. The drugs included 1610 tablets of Tapentadol Hydrochloride and 70 tablets of Tramadol, both classified as controlled substances. A case FIR No. 554/2024 was registered against him at Police Station Rajouri. An investigation into the matter has already been initiated to determine the source and intended distribution of the drugs.
