Man held with 35 rolls of banned Chinese strings

JAMMU, July 22: One individual was arrested by the police in Pacca Danga area here for possessing 35 rolls of banned Chinese strings (Gattu).
Rahil was arrested with the banned synthetic thread by a team of Police Station Pacca Danga led by Inspector Rakesh Singh Jamwal, SHO Pacca Danga, a police official said.
He was accordingly booked in case FIR number 80/2025 under the relevant sections of the law registered at Police Station Pacca Danga and further investigation taken up, he said.
Meanwhile, in a statement, police have appealed to the general public to refrain from using or storing such banned materials, while warning them of strict legal action in case of violations.
