RAMBAN, May 23: A man was found hanging with a walnut tree in Barthal area, falling under the jurisdiction of Batote Police Station, a police official said.
The deceased has been identified as Salam Din, son of Ghulam Ali Gujjar, a resident of Lag Gali, Dhandrath, District Ramban, at present village Barthal, Tehsil Batote.
After completing legal and medical formalities, the body of the deceased has been handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
Inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC have been initiated by Batote Police.
