JAMMU, July 16: Police in Bishnah area here claimed today that they have arrested an individual who was evading the cops for his involvement in a crime for the past over six months.
Mohammad Hanif of Dashmesh Nagar, Digiana, Jammu, was booked in case FIR number 04/2014 under sections 395/201 RPC and 4/25 Arms Act registered at Police Station Bishnah, a police official said.
“But he was evading his arrest in this case for the past over six months, owing to which the Ist Additional Sessions Judge Jammu had issued a non-bailable warrant against him,” he said.
The police official said the warrant was executed today with the arrest of the accused by a team of Police Station Bishnah led by SHO concerned, Inspector Suhsil Choudhary.
“He will be produced before the court now to decide the future course of action,” added the police official.
