JAMMU, July 17: Police in Jammu’s Bishnah area today claimed they have arrested an individual, who was evading his arrest for the past six months.
Akash Masih of Gurdaspur, Punjab, at present Vijaypur, district Samba, was wanted in connection with a case registered under FIR number 61/2024, charged under sections 279, 337, and 338 of the IPC at Police Station Bishnah, a police official said.
“But he was evading his arrest for the past six months,” he said, adding that a non-bailable warrant was also issued against him by the JMIC Bishnah.
The warrant was executed today with the arrest of the accused by a team of Police Station Bishnah led by Inspector Sushil Choudhary, SHO Bishnah, the police official said.
He will be accordingly produced before the court to decide the future course of action, he added.
