JAMMU, Dec 5: A 28-year-old individual apparently ended his life by hanging at his residence at Jatkatian Mohalla area here today.
Nitin Sangotra son of Ved Raj of House Number 2928, Jatkatian Mohalla, was spotted hanging with the help of a duptta from the ceiling fan inside his residence by his family members, who informed the police, a police official said.
Accordingly, he said, a team of Police Station Peer Mitha reached the spot and shifted him to Government Medical College Jammu, where doctors declared him as dead on arrival.
While the body has been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting the post-mortem examination, police have initiated inquest proceedings to further probe into the matter.
