RAMBAN, Feb 16: A man died after he fell into a gorge on de-boarding a vehicle in Nachlana area of Ramsu this evening.
Police said that the man in injured condition was rushed to PHC Ramsu where he was declared dead by the doctor.
The deceased was identified as Amrit Paul Singh, 35, son of Sardar Singh, a resident of Gadigagrh, Jammu.
His body was kept at the mortuary of PHC Ramsu.
SHO Police Station Ramsu, Inspector, Nayeem Matoo said inquest proceedings under relevant sections of law were initiated in this regard at Police Station Ramsu.
Driver of the vehicle from which the deceased de-boarded fled away from the spot but later on he was detained by Ramsu Police for questioning in this regard.
