JAMMU, Oct 18: A 50-year-old individual died of electrocution at his home at Patiyan Jhiri area falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Kanacahk area here today.
Madan Lal son of Chaina Ram of Patiyan Jhiri sustained severe electric shock at his home, a police official said.
Initially, he was taken to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Marh, where after preliminary treatment, he was further referred to the Government Medical College Jammu, where he was declared as dead on arrival by the attending doctors.
While the body of the deceased has been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting the post-mortem examination, police have initiated inquest proceedings to further probe into the matter.
