RAJOURI, Sept 17: In a tragic road accident, a middle-aged villager was killed in Daraj area of Rajouri district today.
Reports said Mohd Azam, son of Mohd Din, resident of Draj, aged 45, was hit by a Maruti Swift vehicle. The driver of Swift vehicle immediately shifted him to Koteranka Hospital, from where he was later referred to GMC Rajouri. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
SHO Koteranka, Rajveer Singh, confirmed that the driver involved in the accident has been arrested. An FIR has been registered, and an investigation into the incident has been initiated.
