NOWSHERA, Nov 14: An elderly villager was killed in a road accident in Nowshera area of district Rajouri today.
The deceased was identified as Dharam Pal, son of Shankar Dass, resident of Hanjana. He was fatally struck by an unidentified bus and sustained serious injuries. The victim was rushed to the local hospital; however, BMO Nowshera, Dr Iqbal Malik, confirmed that Dharam Pal was declared dead upon arrival. His body underwent a postmortem examination, following standard procedure.
Local police have registered a case and are actively investigating to identify and locate the vehicle involved in the incident.
