JAMMU, July 9: A man died today allegedly due to fall from a hillock in Athem near Sidhra area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, the man had left his house in the wee hours to attend nature’s call. However, when he did not return for many hours, the family members launched search operation and found his dead body on the foot of a hillock in Athem area of Sidhra.
The deceased has been identified as Parmod Singh (40) son of Dhyan Singh, a resident of Athem. The body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites after conducting post mortem at Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu.
A case under 174 CrPC has been registered in this connection by the concerned police.
