JAMMU, Nov 9: A 35-year-old man lost his life after falling from a moving train at Jammu Tawi Railway Station here.
Police said that the deceased, identified as Anuj Magotra son of Tarsem Magotra of Gandhi Nagar, along with other friends, had come to the Railway Station to see off a friend leaving for Delhi on Saturday night.
“He didn’t alight when the train was stationary,” they said, adding, “however, when the train began moving, he tried to jump out in haste and was fatally crushed.”
Police said the body of the deceased individual has been handed over to his family after completion of the medico-legal formalities, while further investigation into the matter has been set into motion.
