JAMMU, Dec 30: Bathindi Police has apprehended a man with illegal firearm from Barmini area under its jurisdiction.
“Sahil Singh, son of Basu Dev Singh and resident of Birpur, was nabbed near Barmini while he was allegedly engaged in hunting,” police sources said.
During the operation, police recovered a 12-bore gun along with two live cartridges from a Scorpio vehicle bearing registration number JK08-1922. The accused was taken into custody on the spot.
A case has been registered in this regard, and the firearm and ammunition have been seized. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
