JAMMU, May 30: Police in Trikuta Nagar area here have booked one person for allegedly raping a woman on the pretext of marriage.
One Shakti Kumar of Samba has been booked on charges of rape with his colleague on the pretext of marriage, a police official said.
Quoting the complainant, the police official said that the accused allegedly assaulted the woman sexually in a hotel room here after promising marriage with her and later refused to tie the knot after committing the crime.
He said police are further investigating into the matter.
