JAMMU, Feb 6: A man was attacked today with a sharp edged weapon by his neighbour in Gangyal area of city outskirts.
“The victim namely Ravinder Singh son of Makhan Singh, resident of Deep Nagar (Gangyal) engaged in a verbal dual with his neighbour, Neeraj Kumar son of Kherati Lal over some issue,” a police official said. He said both neighbours exchanged heated words after which Neeraj in a fit of rage attacked Ravinder with a sharp edged weapon and injured him seriously.
The official said with assault injuries at head and arms, Ravinder was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment, where his condition was stated to be stable. He said a case under relevant Section was registered at police station Gangyal and further investigations started.
