JAMMU, Apr 8: A man was stabbed today by two others with sharp edged weapons in Kanachak area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, the man identified as Swaran Singh son of Sardar Singh, a resident of Rakh Barn, was today attacked by Bittu son of Mohan Singh, a resident of Mishriwala and his other accomplice namely Sohan Singh, over some old rivalry. “The accused also looted a cash amount of Rs 8000 from the victim”, he added.
In the attack, Swaran Singh received serious injuries and was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where his condition was stated to be stable till the last reports came in.
A case in this connection was registered at police station Kanachak and efforts were on to nab the accused, who were absconding.
