KISHTWAR, Apr 18: Sarthal Police arrested a man along with illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Post Sarthal headed by PSI Shunag Tagtora conducted raid in village Lava and recovered 4 litres of illicit liquor while 180 litres of lahan was destroyed.
The accused person identified as Des Raj, son of Lassu, a resident of Lava Sarthal has been arrested. The recovered illicit liquor and the distillation material used for preparing illicit liquor were seized on the spot.
A case under FIR Number 64/2021 under Section 48 (A) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation started.
