JAMMU, Jan 8: Jourian police arrested a man and recovered illicit liquor from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Jourian Police Post conducted raid in village Jadh Panjgrain and arrested a man along with 15 litres of illicit liquor and 50 litres of lahan, which was later destroyed.
The arrested person has been identified as Joginder Pal, son of Baldev Raj, a resident of Panjgrain, District Jammu.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Akhnoor Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Jourian Police Post SI Anil Choudhary made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Akhnoor Inspector Shiv Dev Singh, SDPO Akhnoor Ajay Sharma, SP Rural Dushyant Sharma and SSP Jammu Tejinder Singh.
