SAMBA, June 20: Police arrested a man along with stolen dry fruit packs valuing Rs 96000 from his possession.
As per police spokesman, on June 15 this year, a person namely Ravi Kumar, son of Hans Raj of Ward Number 3, Samba who is working as Supplier in Sabzi Mandi and runs a Kiryana Shop titled RK Enterprises at Chak Manga Rakwal lodged a written report at police post SIDCO stating that some unidentified persons entered into his shop and decamped with 10 dry fruit packs valuing Rs 96,000.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 123/17 under Section 457 and 380 RPC was registered and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, police arrested the thief and recovered the stolen dry fruit packs from his possession.
The accused has been identified as Deepak Kumar, son of Ram Dass, a resident of Chak Manga, District Samba.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
