JAMMU, May 27: Peer Mitha police arrested a man for raping a widow woman on the pretext of marriage.
As per police sources, a widow woman lodged a complaint with police station Peer Mitha stating that a man namely Mumtaz Ahmed, a resident of Mahore, district Reasi made physical relations with her on the pretext of marriage.
The person later refused to marry the woman.
Acting over the complaint, a case under Section 376 RPC has registered at Peer Mitha police station and the person was arrested.
Further questioning into the case is going on.
