RAMBAN, Apr 15: A man has been arrested for raping a minor girl in Gujardar Chamalwas area, falling under the jurisdiction of Banihal Police Station.
As per police sources, a man hailing from Gujardar Chamalwas lodged a complaint with Police Station Banihal stating that Mohammad Shafi Malik, son of Subhan Malik, a resident of Ward no.2 Chamalwas, Tehsil Banihal entered into his house and raped his minor daughter.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 39/17 under Section 376 and 506 RPC was registered at Banihal Police Station and arrested the accused.
The girl was handed over to family members after completing legal formalities.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
