JAMMU, Sept 6: One person has been arrested by police in Gangyal area here on charge of raping a woman.
A police official said the victim lodged a zero FIR at Police Station Kathua recently, alleging therein that an e-rickshaw driver from Gangyal raped her on the pretext of marriage.
After the complaint was transferred to Police Station Gangyal by the authorities in Kathua, he said, an FIR under the relevant sections of the law was registered at Police Station Gangyal and the accused arrested.
Meanwhile, further investigation has been set into motion, he said.
