DODA, May 24: Gandoh police arrested a man along with illicit liquor pouches and bottles. As per police sources, on a tip-off, a team from Gandoh police station laid a naka and intercepted an Alto car bearing registration number JK06-8561.
During checking, police recovered 15 pouches and 2 bottles (quarters) of illicit liquor and arrested the driver, who has been identified as Mohammad Abass, son of Gandru Malik, a resident of Gandoh.
The accused was carrying the illicit liquor pouches to his native village for sale among the masses for illegitimate profits. A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Gandoh police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Gandoh Inspector Tariq Naik made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Gandoh Bhushan Kumar Ganjoo.
