JAMMU, Mar 14: Manwal police arrested a man along with large quantity of illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Manwal police post laid a naka and intercepted a pedestrian.
During checking, police recovered 45 pouches of illicit liquor pouches and arrested the accused on the spot.
The bootlegger has been identified as Kirpal Singh, son of Baldev Singh, a resident of Jindrah.
A case under FIR Number 36/16 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered against the accused and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Manwal police post SI Tribhuwan Khajuria made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Jhajjar Kotli Inspector Ravinder Singh, SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bhushan Sharma and SP Rural Arun Gupta.
