DODA, May 6: Assar Police arrested a man for cultivating poppy straw illegally.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Assar along with Executive Magistrate conducted raid and found poppy straw cultivated on a piece of land measuring 4 to 5 kanals.
The police team destroyed the cultivation and arrested one person, who cultivated the poppy straw illegally.
The arrested person was identified as Mohammad Rafiq, son of Mohammad Sadiq, a resident of Assar.
A case under FIR Number 10/2021 under Section 8/18 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Assar and investigation started.
