KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 12: Malaysia’s current account surplus narrowed to 6.1 billion ringgit ($1.7 billion) in the fourth quarter from 7.6 billion ringgit in the previous quarter, central bank data showed on Thursday. Net direct investment in the fourth quarter posted an outflow of 0.2 billion ringgit, after an inflow of 2.1 billion ringgit in the previous quarter. The net portfolio investment outflow totalled 20.4 billion ringgit, after an outflow of 11 billion ringgit in the third quarter.
