This is to draw the attention of the Health Minister towards the poor health service in the State. To be specific, it may be mentioned here that the Super Speciality Hospital which was supposed to provide quality service to patients generally remains out of bound for such patients. This is because no specialists are available there. Now, some specialists who are providing services privately are not allowed to do so by the Government. Take the case of Gastroenterology Department. Its services are no longer available in the Super Speciality Department. As a result, the patients suffer terribly. They have nowhere to go, except outside the State which entails lot of expenditure which remains beyond the reach of such people. Besides, there is huge rush of people in Government Medical College Jammu where it is quite difficult to get proper treatment unless one is recommended by any influential person, or has some ‘connection’ in the hospital so it is requested that the Government should make Super Speciality Hospital fully functional to meet the demands of people.
