JAMMU, Oct 9: In a major rejig in the police administration, the Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the transfers and postings of 7 IPS and 17 JKPS officers.
Among those transferred are 6 Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) posted in Kathua, Kulgam, Shopian, Bandipora, Handwara and Kupwara districts.

As per an order, Abdul Ghani Mir, the 1994 batch AGMUT Cadre IPS officer, who was awaiting order of posting, has been posted as Commandant General, Home Guards, Civil Defence, SDRF J&K, relieving Alok Kumar, IPS of the additional charge of the post.
The order further said that Mohammad Yaseen Kichloo, the 2013 batch AGMUT Cadre IPS officer, currently holding the charge of SSP CICE Jammu, has been transferred and posted as Principal STC Talwara vice Mohammad Arif Rishu, and Shobhit Saxena, the 2015 batch AGMUT Cadre IPS officer, currently SSP Kathua, has been transferred and posted as SSP Security, J&K against an available vacancy.
Tanushree, the 2017 batch AGMUT Cadre IPS officer, currently posted as SP SIA HQ, has been transferred and posted as SSP Pulwama vice PD Nitya, and Sahil Sarangal, the 2017 batch AGMUT cadre IPS officer, currently SSP Kulgam, has been transferred and posted as SSP Handwara vice Mushtaq Ahmad, the order said.
Additionally, it has been ordered that Mohita Sharma, the 2017 batch AGMUT Cadre IPS officer, currently AIG Provisions, has been transferred and posted as SSP Kathua vice Shobhit Saxena, and Anayat Ali Choudhary, also a 2017 batch AGMUT Cadre IPS officer, currently holding the charge of SSP Shopian, has been transferred and posted as SSP Kulgam vice Sahil Sarangal.
Meanwhile, the J&K Government has also ordered the transfers and postings of 17 JKPS officers.
As per the order, the 1999 batch JKPS officer Mohammad Arif Rishu, Principal, STC Talwara, has been transferred and posted as Director, Commando Training Centre (CTC), Lethpora, against an available vacancy, and another officer of the same batch, Benam Tosh, SSP, Economic Offences WIng (EOW), Jammu, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Director, Sher-I-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA), Udhampur.
The order further said that 2001 batch JKPS officer Harmeet Singh Mehta, SSP, Bandipora, has been posted as Commandant, 13 IR, against an available vacancy, and another officer of the same batch, Javid Iqbal, Commandant, 6 JKAP, has been transferred and posted as AIG, CT and Intelligence.
The 2002 batch JKPS officer Mohammad Fiesel Qureshi, Staff Officer to IGP Crime, has been posted as SSP, EOW, Jammu, and Ramnish Gupta, Deputy Director, SKPA, Udhampur, has been posted as SSP, CICE, Jammu, and Ramnish Gupta, the 2004 batch JKPS officer, currently Deputy Director SKPA Udhampur, has been transferred and posted as SSP CICE Jammu vice Mohammad Yaseen Kichloo, the order said
Similarly, the 2004 batch JKPS officer Aijaz Ahmed Zargar, AIG, CT and Intelligence, has been transferred and posted as SSP Bandipora, and another JKPS officer of 2004 batch, Mushtaq Ahmad, SSP, Handwara, has been transferred and posted as SSP, Shopian.
Further, the 2008 batch JKPS officer Ashiq Hussain Tak, awaiting an order of posting, has been made the Dy CO, 6 IR, against an available vacancy, and 2012 batch JKPS officer Owaise Rashid, who awaited an order of posting, has been made the Additional SP of Ganderbal against an available vacancy.
Additionally, the 2012 batch JKPS officer Sarfaraz Bashir Ganai, awaiting an order of posting, has been posted as Dy CO, 11 IR, against an available vacancy, and Ghulam Mustafa Bhat, also a 2012 batch JKPS officer, has been posted as Dy CO, 17 IR, against an available vacancy.
The 2012 batch JKPS officer, Shahzada Kabir Mattoo, who was awaiting order of posting, has been made the Dy CO, 9 JKAP, against an available vacancy, and another officer of the same batch, Ashish Gupta has been posted as Dy CO, 5 IR, against an available vacancy.
Another order said that Sanjay Kumar Bhagat, the 2001 batch JKPS officer, currently Commandant 14 JKAP, has been transferred and posted as AIG Buildings vice Amit Bhasin, who shall await further posting at Police Headquarters, J&K, Gh Jeelani Wani, (JKPS: 2001), presently serving as SSP Kupwara, has been transferred and posted as Commandant 14 JKAP, vice Sanjay Kumar Bhagat, and Syed Al-Tahir Gillani (JKPS: 2001), at present Staff Officer of DGP, J&K, has been transferred and posted as SSP Kupwara vice Ghulam Jeelani Wani.
