Mahila Morcha backbone of BJP’s strength: Sat Sharma

JAMMU, Apr 9: Underlining that every Mahila Morcha activist carries a threefold responsibility towards the nation, society, and the party, BJP JK UT president and MP Rajya Sabha, Sat Sharma urged them to actively engage with people, raise awareness about Government initiatives, and work as ambassadors of social change. Sat Sharma, who chaired a meeting of the BJP Mahila Morcha at the party Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, here, today also highlighted that in today’s evolving political landscape, the participation and leadership of women are key to achieving a stronger and self-reliant India.
The meeting was led by Mahila Morcha president, Neha Mahajan and attended by senior leaders including Veenu Khanna, Shailja Gupta, Urvashi Gupta, and other prominent activists.
Sat Sharma, emphasized the pivotal role of the Mahila Morcha in strengthening the party at the grassroots level and shaping a progressive society. He stated that Mahila Morcha is not just a wing of the party, but a powerful force that connects BJP with every household, ensuring that the voice of women becomes the strength of the nation. He added that women activists are instrumental in taking forward the vision of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, especially in ensuring the success of welfare schemes and inclusive development.
Mahila Morcha president, Neha Mahajan, speaking on the occasion, elaborated on the ongoing activities being undertaken by the Morcha across Jammu & Kashmir. She informed that Morcha activists have been actively involved in outreach programmes, awareness drives on Government schemes, health camps, and community service initiatives. She also shared details of upcoming programmes, including booth-level strengthening drives, special campaigns focusing on women empowerment, and participation in party-led mass contact initiatives.
