SHIMLA, July 24: Mahant Rohit Shastri, president of Shri Kailakh Jyotish avim Vedic Sansthan Trust, today called on Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Shiv Pratap Shukla.
On this occasion, a profound and constructive discussion was held on the preservation, promotion and revival of the Sanskrit language.
During the interaction, Rohit Shastri presented books published by the Trust to the Governor.
He also provided detailed insights into the Trust’s various innovative initiatives such as the Mobile Sanskrit Gurukul, Sanskrit Dialogue Camps, Acharya Training Programs, Research Seminars and Digital Sanskrit Education.
Shastri informed that the Trust is working to connect youth with Sanskrit through traditional learning as well as modern technological means.
Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla appreciated the creative, innovative and impactful work being done by Shastri for the upliftment of Sanskrit.
He said, “Sanskrit is the cultural soul of India and its preservation is the foundation of Indian identity and nation-building.”
Earlier, the Governor felicitated Mahant Rohit Shastri in traditional Himachali style by presenting him with a ‘Himachali Cap’ and ‘Himachali Shawl’.
This honor was bestowed in recognition of Mahant Ji’s continuous contribution and public welfare efforts in the field of Sanskrit.
Shastri described the meeting as an inspiring and guiding experience and said, “The guidance received from the Governor will give new direction and energy to our efforts. This honor is not just for me, but also an encouragement for all those serving Sanskrit.”
