Mahajayanti of Reshipeer celebrated with religious fervour

JAMMU, Apr 10: The Mahajayanti of Shri Reshipeer Ji Maharaj a great saint of Kashmir who was commonly known as Peer Pandit Padshah was celebrated with full religious fervour and gaiety today.
In this connection a Maha Yagya was performed by Shri Reshipeer Socio Cultural Trust at Sharda Bhawani Mandir Pounichak, near here.
The Yagya started yesterday evening and Puranahuti was performed this afternoon.
A large number of devotees of holy saint including religious preachers, scholars besides the members of Sopore Biradari participated in the celebrations. The religious preachers and scholars threw light on the preaching of this great saint who worked for fostering the bonds among different communities, promotion of brotherhood and love.
The devotees were served with prashad after Puranahuti. Dr V K Kachroo chairman of the Trust threw light on the activities and working of the Trust for last three years.
